Hellooooo.

I have about 15 minutes to kill before HRM lecture. So, I'm just gonna blog about random stuff.

- I have an assignment due in a week that I have no clue on what's it about. No, I'm not being lazy. The psych coordinator hasn't updated it yet.
- Rus is back from Egypt. She got back 3 weeks ago but I only got to see her yesterday. Thanks for the souvenirs :).
- I've made the right choice. This is what I really want to pursue.
- Volunteering this Friday! Yay :D.
- I need a new handbag.
- La senza has pretty lingeries. Triumph is from Germany, Wacoal is from Japan. We all know where Victoria's Secret is from.
- Ramadhan in a week! Bazaarrrr.
- I can't seem to let go of my phone. I wonder if it's healthy.
- 13 months :).
- Inception is brilliant. I wanna watch it again!
- I signed up for the 30 hour famine thing. So far, I've only collected 4 bucks. I am awesome.
- For the timebeing, I am anti cat.
- I haven't bought ANY books for my units. They're all sold out. Well, one isn't but it's two hundred and seventy five friggin bucks.

Can't think of anything else now. Oopsie. Time for class.

Yellow everyone. Today's the first day back in uni. My first lecture starts in about 1 1/2 hours but I'm already here.

Since I have nothing better to do.. I'm gonna blog! Yay!

Unfortunately, it'll be all wordy and the only person who can make sense of it is me.

Hmm..

So, 2nd year. Even though most of my peers started 2nd year months ago, I'm still having a difficult time accepting that reality. I'm turning 20 this year. 5 years ago I was in form 3! Where did time go? Have I done enough for the past 19 years? Am I content?

Endless questions.

Things are so different from what I imagined 5 years ago. Back then I thought I would be in uitm or some other public univesity. I thought I was going to do some science related subjects. I didn't think I would I get a car and subang jaya will always be home.

Now.. I'm in Monash, studying psychology, a subject that didn't even cross my mind until 1 year ago. I didn't even think I was going to be in Monash. Hence, the pretty last minute application. I have a car. My own car. I drive around a lot. And, by the end of the year, I'll be moving to Klang.

Most of all, I would never ever imagined I would have such feelings for a certain someone :). You know who you are. If you don't.. Mirza, it's you.

I wonder.. What would happen in 5 years. Hmm.. I think I'll think about it some other day.

I'm bored.

I'm hungry.

I'm broke.

I wanna go shopping. I need new clothes. The last time I went shopping was about a year ago. Shopping makes me happy. You should see my expression when I see the word SALE.

I get high when I sniff air purifier. No joke.

Hmm.. When I meet new people.. the topic of what course I'm doing would come up.. The conversation would go like this:

Person: So, what course are you doing?
Fatin : I'm doing Psychology. What about you?
Person: Oohhh. I'm doing _______. So, psychology.. can you read my mind/what am I thinking of?

If I get 5 cents for everytime I heard that.. I would be filthy rich.

I blame Freud for this. Him and his unconcious mind and psychosexual theory. Don't know who's Freud? Google him. Sigmund Freud. I bet you'll cringe if you come across Oedipus Complex :D.

Anyway, just a general update on what I've been doing for the past month.

Green Day! I think it was 3 weeks back? A lot of people wore green that day but only some took pictures.

Nerd Day! Last Thursday, 27th May. I failed at looking like a nerd. Boo. Sashi went all out while Jasmine wore her sister's schoo uniform.

Youth 2010! Volunteered there for 2 days. It wasn't as hectic as I thought it would be. Nice meeting you people :).

Other random happenings:

I got a beautiful love letter from MPSJ. 80 bucks. Bleh.
It's the end of the semester. 2nd year in less than 2 months.. Yikes.
348 days.
Worked as a poll clerk and vote counter. Politics. Note to self: Never get involved.
Worked during the Monash Open Day thingy. Monash is rather generous :P.
My ankle hasn't fully recovered yet. It's been a month! I kinda think it will never heal fully. Sigh.
Rafa Benitez is no longer Liverpool's manager.
Psychology 10th, International Studies 16th, Media Studies 18th and Organisational Behaviour 22nd. Wish me luck :).
I'm so used to staring at the laptop that not staring at it.. would be weird. My poor desktop has been ignored for a month now.
Warning to others: If you want to take psychology, please be prepared. I'm going insane as the days go by. Socrates, Descartes, Pavlov, Locke, Maslow and all the weird theories. Freud, I am not a big fan of you :).

Finally, a break.

Well, there's still interlearn 9.1 and Youth 2010.. but whatever. No more 2000 words assignment due EVERY week. No more tests. No more presentations.

Finals in 2 weeks. First paper will be on the 10th, last paper on the 22nd. This is what happens when you take a health science and business units. You start early, finish late.

I think I work harder for this semester compared to last semester. Well, I definitely submitted my assignments way before 5pm :P. Worried about two of my units though. Blah.

First year is ending.. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing, if this is what I really want.

I hope I made the right choice.

Love Is Beautiful When It's With You.

This goes to someone very dearly, special and close to me. He is one of the sweetest person I've ever known, if not, the sweetest. He would go really far for the sake of others, putting others ahead of himself. Although, at times he can be quite eccentric ;P.

He makes me smile, cry, laugh, panicky and pretty much every other emotion possible. As corny as this may sound, he's the one that can make me the happiest person alive and put me on cloud nine. After 252 days, he still gives me goosebumps :).

I met him about 4 years ago.. Back then, he was with someone, I was someone. We were both from different schools.

The first time I talked to him was over the phone. A friend, J, passed his phone to him for I don't know what reason. Some random prank call, perhaps. Haha. I guess in a way, I was a horrible person because I couldn't distinguish his voice between my boyfriend.

Fatin: Oh my. _____, IS THAT YOU? WHY ARE YOU USING J'S NUMBER?
Him: Uh.. I'm not ____.
Fatin: You're kidding. Stop pulling my leg. You sound like ____.

Well, something like that.

And then, out of nowhere, we had each other on MSN? The first time we chatted online.. We were up until 5. Got into a lot of trouble thanks to that ;P.

About a month after that, I broke up with the someone. This person was my source of comfort. He listened to me as I rant and rant and rant. At the rate I was going, I was a bit surprised he didn't tell me to shut up. Haha.

Somewhere along the way, during the dark ages, I started to fall for him. Big mistake because he had a girlfriend and was very much in love with her. I'm a sucker la. Don't give me that look.

Soon after that, he went MIA. For those who know him, you know what I mean. This person has a knack of disappearing on people. He's like chipsmore. Now you see him, now you don't. You can see proofs on his facebook wall and some of my blog posts. Haha.

He would appear once in a blue moon.. for a few days and then he would disappear without a trace. Everytime he would appear, so would my feelings for him. Some weird crush that won't go away. I've liked other guys but there's something about him that's unforgettable.

In 2008, he appeared and stayed for a while. Longer than usual. He visited me while I was working in Memory Lane and we met up a few days after that in Pyramid.

Something happened..

..and I told him to stop talking to me.

We were both in Sunway University College. So, whenever I bumped into him. I would glare at him. He wouldn't even look at me ;P.

This happened for nearly a year. In the beginning of 2009, I found out a good friend of mine knew him.. and they were close. At that time, I thought I would never see him again since he's done with his course. When I found out, the thing that was going on my mind was, "Gosh, I just can't seem to run away from him."

I wanted closure.. no more bitterness, no more drama, no more being vengeful. It didn't really work out that way. Who knew? The fella added me on facebook. A year ago, I wished him happy birthday.

He got my number, called and apologised. The rest was history.

Okay, maybe not. I was still pretty cold to him.

My good friend and I had a fall out. I was very emotionally dependent on this friend and when I lost him, my world fell apart.

Guess who brought me back to my feet?

Yep, him.

He told me not to give up and have hope. We started talking frequently again. He would check up on me, making sure I was okay. He would keep me company when I felt lonely even in the deadliest hour of the night. He entertained pretty much every single nonsense I threw at him. He was.. supportive :).

The trip to PD was a memorable one. I got a text from him that made me scream. I was beyond shocked, speechless and flabbergasted. Hahaha. Thinking about it now makes me laugh. Of course back then, it wasn't very funny.

Long story short, we got together on the 22nd of June 2009. I'll leave that story to another day.

He is my constant companion, my partner in crime, my best friend and the boy I'm madly in love with.

I've been waiting for this day since I got my license two years ago. My word. How time flies. Two years ago, I was just like any other giddy teenager who just got his or her license.

Two years later.. I dread the thought of traffic in the morning.

Try living in Subang Jaya for a week, I bet by the 3rd day, you'll complain too ;P.

So, I went to the Padang Jawa JPJ Centre. After I don't know how many hours of waiting, I occupied myself by reading For One More Day by Mitch Albom. Anyway, finally, it was my turn.

Things you need: License sized picture, P license and IC.

RM30 per year. Maximum is 5 years. The process took less than 5 minutes. Thank goodness.

I didn't bother taking a new picture.

My dad's relieved. Now he can drive my car in peace. He has something against the P sticker. Hahaha.

Hello!

So, yesterday, after the journey to the airport.. Oh my, the drive home was super scary. It was raining heavily, lorries were everywhere and it was 2 in the morning. Um, yeah. Anyway, I got pretty sick after that.

It's so easy for me to get sick and it takes ages for me to recover. Argh. Yes, Ridz, I lack veges.

The boyfriend came over for a while.. and brought..

So.. I wonder why some of you still bother coming here. I mean, it's not like I update often or anything like that :D. But, thank you!

I will post about the holidays some time soon, if I ever feel like it. There will definitely be a new year post. Sum of 2009, stuff like that.

Anyway, last night, 28th December 2009, I had dinner with the usual bunch. 3rd year annual dinner of the gift exchange. Might be the last but I'll be optimistic :).

This year, we decided to go to Chili's, One Utama. The traffic to get there was horrible. It was Monday night! Thankfully we found parking in less than 10 minutes. Thank you, random strangers who pointed out an empty space (or, rather, empty spaces)

Chili's didn't let us make a reservation beforehand and by the time we got there, the waiting list was pretty long. We had to wait for about 30 minutes? The guys had to wait longer since they were there earlier. Sorry guys.

2 assignments and 1 group presentation. Phew. I managed to survive the horrible week of University. Barely, I must say. By the end of yesterday, I was such in a horrible mood.

So, Khairul came over for about 10 days about a week ago. I only got to see him for 3 days. Well, it was better than nothing :)

On Thursday, which was on the 6th, Khairul, Ahilan and I watched..

The movie nearly KILLED me. It was painfully disgusting. Yes, it was hilarious but disturbing to no end. My eyes. I lost count at the number of time I screamed out of disgust. The nutcase Khairul enjoyed it though.

The next day, Khairul, Nina and I went to IKEA. We only spent less than 30 minutes there because I knew what I wanted to get anyway. Then, off we went to the curve to have brunch :D. Had it at this place called Asam Pedas. The first picture was taken there.

First Day on a Brand New Planet v.2

HELLO!

Yes, I'm still alive, thank you very much. This blog however, is barely breathing.

Anyway, I'm just going straight to the point.

Today's the first day of class and I already have homework. Bye bye free time.

For those of you who are curious, I'm in Monash University, Malaysia, doing Bachelor of Arts. Planning to major in Psychology. No idea what to minor in. Either International Studies or Communications.

Yours truly got lost. Not my fault, okay. The timetable said the venue has been changed. Turned out, it's the same location. Boo hoo.

Had my first lecture on communications. The unit looks interesting. The lecturer IS interesting. Haha.

After that, hung out with Zao who happened to be in the same Management tute. Lucky me. You see, I'm the only smartypants in Arts that's smart enough to pick Management as my elective. Everyone else chose either Asian music and culture or contemporary television.

Management, management. First day sudah ada kerja rumah. Anyone wants to sell me their management textbook?
